// Magazine layout
\ is an exploration of diagonal lines through a magazine. The diagonal line is used for its dynamism and to break the grid. All the designs are made in Duotone (blue, red and paper). For each text, I use the layout to give a clue to the reader of what the text is about, while maintaining a unity throughout the whole magazine.
__ The design of “Chien blanc”, is inspired by the teeth of a dog.
__ “Voyage au bout de la nuit” is inspired by a road disappearing on the horizon at sunset. The text becomes harder and harder to read towards the end, like at night.
__ In “Une bréve histoire du temps”, the title is use like the hand of a watch that tells the time and moves the layout of the page.
__ For the binding I used a technique call in French “reliure grecquée”, and I glued the last page to the back cover, which allows us to see the side of the binding.
