Sneaker Monster was a street art project developed in collaboration with the Shanghai head office of Adidas Original. In order to promote the winter 11/12 SUPERSTAR Adidas sneaker collection, I have developed 3 different characters holding the sneakers.
__ We had one week to paste 150 Sneaker Monster posters in 3 different cities in China. We started in Beijing, than sped to Shanghai, and ended our trip in Guangzhou.
__ Each day on Adidas Original’s Weibo (Chinese Twitter) we would post updates about the different places we had been, with pictures and our plan for the next day. On Weibo, Adidas also created a challenge for followers: find the monsters on the street. If a person collected photos of all 3 monsters and sent them to Adidas, they would win a prize.
